These two portraits, drawn with colored pencils, are part of my preparation for the upcoming watercolor workshops.
Even though this medium won’t be the focus of the course, it helps me train the foundations of portrait painting — drawing, notan, and color.
Every technique feeds the same goal: understanding the subject before translating it into a painting.
